DETAILS

Kun opera, or kunqu, is one of the oldest and most refined forms of opera in China; it was frequently staged in the private gardens of Suzhou during the 16th to 18th centuries. Visitors to The Huntington can experience kunqu as it was enjoyed in centuries past during an informal performance in the Garden of Flowing Fragrance, presented by members of the Los Angeles-based Chinese Kwun Opera Society. Free with general admission.
